Sustainability

We understand that everything we do has an impact on the world around us and that it is out responsibility to work to help protect our planet. That is why were possible we always use materials from sustainable sources and products that meet the highest environmental standards. We do this without sacrafici8ng quality, so your new floor not only will be good for the environment, but also good for you, and last for years to come.

Sustainable materials

  • Our wooden floors are from European suppliers to ensure the timber has been responsibly sourced, the vast majority of which is FSC certified.
  • Purchasing a wooden floor through us encourages further stimulation of reforestation, in Europe demand for timber products has seen forests grow vastly, benefiting the environment.
  • From Carpet Tiles to Underlay, recycled materials are widely utilised in the products we offer.
  • We supply carpets made from British wool, a highly renewable raw material. Some even using eco un-dyed yarn and envirobac backings for minimal impact.

Eco-friendly products

  • We work with a leading manufacturer of Emicode 1 Plus rated primers and smoothing compounds to ensure there are no harmful emissions or strong smells in your home coming from our preparation products.
  • Our adhesives are now all water based instead of solvent, to avoid dangerous vapours and fire risk. Water based is much cleaner to work with overall too.
  • Our products, from Natural Sisal to leading brand Luxury Vinyl Tiles are very low in VOC, meeting strict indoor air quality standards.

Recycle waste

  • Waste is carefully sorted to allow recycling of suitable materials such as cardboard tubes and boxes.
  • We donate sizeable offcuts of carpet to local people for use on allotments or to line ponds. Wool carpet offcuts actually benefit the soil and this option is far better than sending it to landfill.
  • Other smaller pieces of carpet, or large quantities of discontinued samples go to animal shelters, providing mats and warmth for the animals.
  • Our long term goals include sourcing a carpet and underlay recycling compactor. In the meantime we continue to do as much as we can to minimise waste to begin with, planning efficiently and using materials economically.
